This is what Eloping in Zion looks like!

The final shoot at the #TylerRyeWorkshop in Zion National Park took our couple to a secluded area just outside the park, offering an absolutely breathtaking backdrop. With the towering mountains of Zion National Park behind them, we had the perfect setting for a “day after” session—a type of shoot that’s quickly becoming one of my favorites!

A “day after” session is a fantastic way for couples to get even more out of their wedding attire. Whether they wear their wedding outfits again or choose a completely different look, this session offers a unique opportunity to create stunning wedding portraits that wouldn’t be possible on the wedding day itself. These sessions often allow for more time, less pressure, and a chance to capture the essence of the couple in a more relaxed, intimate setting. The natural beauty of Zion National Park, with its dramatic landscapes and rugged terrain, made this particular session even more memorable.

What makes a “day after” shoot so special is that it allows for more creativity and flexibility. On a wedding day, there’s often limited time to get all the perfect photos you want, and the pressure of sticking to a timeline can restrict the type of shots you’d like. But with a post-wedding session, the couple can take their time and get all the shots they’ve dreamed of. Plus, it’s a great excuse to wear that gorgeous wedding dress again! It’s not every day you get to be photographed in such an iconic, awe-inspiring location like Zion, so why not take advantage of it?

I’m always thrilled to see how these sessions turn out because they let me push my creativity and capture truly stunning portraits. I hope this session inspires more couples to consider doing a “day after” session of their own. Why not get even more use out of that beautiful wedding dress?

Thank you so much for following along and checking out what we got up to at the workshop in Zion. Stay tuned because I’ll be announcing a new experience soon, and I can’t wait to see you there!
